Morning
-
Willa Koliba (Museum of Zakopane Style)
The very first building designed in the "Zakopane Style" (1892) by architect Stanisław Witkiewicz, now a branch museum furnished as it would have looked in the era, showcasing the decorative wooden style that defines the town's architecture.
-
Old Cemetery at Pęksowy Brzyzek (Cmentarz Zasłużonych)A small, atmospheric hillside cemetery where many of Zakopane's most important artists, mountaineers and highlanders are buried under wonderfully carved wooden and stone headstones in the local Zakopane style.
Afternoon
-
Tatra Museum (Muzeum Tatrzańskie)The region's main museum, covering Tatra Mountains nature, highland (Podhale) culture and mountaineering history in a landmark early-20th-century building on Krupówki.
-
Krupówki Street
Zakopane's pedestrian main street — wooden souvenir stalls, oscypek grills, highland music spilling out of bars, and the natural spine of any visit to town.
-
Aqua Park ZakopaneAn indoor/outdoor water park with pools and slides and an outdoor 32C thermal pool with mountain views - a good rainy-day or evening option.

Morning
-
Gubałówka
A funicular ride up the hill overlooking town for a panoramic view of Zakopane with the whole Tatra range behind it — food stalls, a small amusement strip and (in season) sledging/toboggan runs wait at the top.
Afternoon
-
Strążyska Valley (Dolina Strążyska)
The easiest proper mountain valley to reach on foot from the centre - a short, pretty walk to a waterfall and mountain hut, with classic views of Giewont.
-
Wielka Krokiew Ski Jump
Poland's most famous ski jumping hill, host to the annual Four Hills Tournament stop — a chairlift takes visitors up alongside the jump to a viewing platform at the top with sweeping views over Zakopane.
-
Chapel of the Sacred Heart, JaszczurówkaA tiny wooden chapel designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz, considered the purest example of the folk-inspired 'Zakopane Style' of architecture.

Morning
-
Morskie OkoThe most famous lake in the Tatras — a vivid turquoise glacial lake ringed by sheer peaks, reached by a wide, mostly flat but long walk (or horse-cart/golf-cart ride part-way) from the Palenica Białczańska trailhead. Plan a half or full day for this one.
Second Round — more of the town
3 places · about 3 h of sightseeing · 3,6 km between them
Morning
-
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima (Krzeptówki)
A large modern pilgrimage church built after the 1981 assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, with a small museum of his personal items.
-
Karol Szymanowski Museum (Villa Atma)The villa where Poland's leading 20th-century composer lived and worked, now a branch of Kraków's National Museum.
Afternoon
-
Dolina Białego (White Valley)
An easy, family-friendly 2.6km valley trail close to town, past pale limestone rock formations and disused Soviet-era uranium exploration tunnels dug in the early 1950s — connects directly to the already-covered Dolina Strążyska.
